From 12 to 14 June 2026, the Nürburgring will once again be transformed into a time machine – and Historic Monoposto Racing (HMR) will be right at the heart of it. Since its foundation in 1996, the foundation has upheld a unique promise: Formula racing cars from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s do not belong in a museum, but on the track. Engines will be roaring on legendary circuits in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium – and HMR will once again be right at the heart of the action at the ADAC Nürburgring Classic 2026.
Historic Monoposto Racing – Formula One legends back on the track
The schedule is set: The first qualifying session gets underway on Friday, 12 June at 11.05 am, followed by the second qualifying session on Saturday, 13 June at 8.30 am. The main event then kicks off on Saturday at 4.50 pm with Race 1 – before the final battle for positions gets underway on Sunday at 10.30 am with Race 2. All on the Grand Prix circuit, all live.
The Champions' Path
Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Niki Lauda, Emerson Fittipaldi, Arie Luijendijk, Jan Lammers – they all began their journey to the very top of the sport in the very same categories that are now being revived under the HMR banner: Formula Vee, Formula Ford 1600, Formula Ford 2000 and Formula 3. The cars of yesteryear – once a springboard for a whole generation of racing legends – are back in competition. True to the originals, technically fascinating and steeped in history.
