With the "Touring Car Golden Era", an outstanding race series has been established that must not be missed in the context of the Nürburgring Classic from 24 to 26 May 2024. Eight classification classes guarantee a diverse and impressive starting field. As in previous years, a separate race will be held at the Race Event.The entry fee is 898,- €. On all three days of the event, the touring cars will be seen and experienced on the Grand Prix circuit and in the Grand Prix paddock.
A living reminder of glorious times
Between 1984 and 1995, German motorsport experienced truly golden years with the German Touring Car Championship. Hardly any manufacturer was able to escape the series. This era of motorsport was dominated by the DTM, but the DRM, STW and WTCC also captivated fans. Numerous homologation models also brought racing from the track to the road. The fans' identification with their brand and their vehicle was thus pushed into new spheres.

Now these golden times are coming to life again. After a successful first rollout of the "Touring Car Golden Era" last year, it is now being continued as a championship for classic racing touring cars. Currently, a total of six race dates promise pure action and nostalgia in the battle for points.
For years, the classic touring cars of the late 70s to the early 90s have been important crowd pullers in the historic motorsport scene and thus naturally also belong in the Nürburgring Classic. A number of well-known teams have already confirmed their participation and we are looking forward to many more registrations. The entry portal is now open for participants.

Already in the past years, the invitation to the grid walk was accepted with pleasure by the visitors. To be right up there before the engines start and then watch the race from the pit roof or one of the grandstand seats. And this will be just one item on the agenda of a successful motorsport weekend.
